31.1.2014 •Following inauguration of the new cabinet by the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman on Wednesday 29 January 2014, the newly appointed Prime Minister, Bohuslav Sobotka, introduced Martin Stropnicky to the Defence Minister’s office on 30 January 2014 in the morning.

26.1.2014 •"I highly appreciate your work," Supreme Commander of Czech Armed Forces and Czech President Milos Zeman told to his soldiers serving on ISAF mission in Kabul during the historically first presidential visit to Afghanistan, where he also met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

18.1.2014 •The Multinational Logistics Coordination Centre Council of Directors session held in Prague 14 to 15 January outlined development of joint logistic support for future operations and started a planning process of Exercise Capable Logistician 2015 which will be held in Hungary.

11.1.2014 •Minister of Defence Vlastimil Picek visited the Military Cynology Centre at Chotyne this week to honour dog Athos for service in Afghanistan where it was seriously injured in September 2012.

5.1.2014 •At its sessison this week, the Czech government approved sale of 28 subsonic L-159 ALCA aircraft to US Draken International company while discussion over prolonged lease of Sweden-made SAAB 39 Gripen supersonic aircraft postponed until a new Czech government is formed.

22.12.2013 •President of the Czech Republic and Supreme Commander of the Czech Armed Forces Milos Zeman, Minister of Defence Vlastimil Picek, and Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces of the Czech Republic Lieutenant General Petr Pavel send video-messages to all defence personnel to Christmas Holidays and New Year 2014.

15.12.2013 •More than 350 Czech soldiers will spend the upcoming Holiday Season far away from their home and relatives serving in or in favour of foreign operations in Afghanistan, Mali, in the Sinai, the U.K., in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, but also for example in Kongo.

6.12.2013 •Chief of the General Staff of ACR Lieutenant General Petr Pavel received Jana Hierschova from the Office of Defense Cooperation at the American Embassy in Prague to award her for 15 years of management of the U.S. International Military Education and Training Program in favor of the Czech military.

25.11.2013 •Ten NATO and PfP nations contributed to the Combined Resolve exercise the goal of which was in advanced training of mutual cooperation, compatibility of forces and sharing combat abilities in conducting defence and attack tactical operations. After the U.S. Army, Czechs had the second largest contingent of force involved in the exercise that was held at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany, 9 - 22 November 2013.

16.11.2013 •The Czech Republic expanded its participation in the Multinational Force and Observers mission in the Sinai by deploying CASA C-295M transport aircraft with 13 flying and ground personnel as of 4 November 2013.

10.11.2013 •A week-long allied Steadfast Jazz 2013 exercise put in motion around six thousand soldiers in Poland, from NATO member countries and three PfP countries, in the largest NATO exercise since 2006.

3.11.2013 •Prior to the large NATO Response Force exercise Steadfast Jazz in Poland, Czech pilots train together with their Lithuanian colleagues the procedures of tactical air force combat in accordance with the exercise Baltic Eye scenario.
