MAT in Logar, Afghanistan, ISAF

The unit accomplished its activities in Logar and is back in the Czech Republic

 

The task of a Czech unit of the Military Advisory Team was to advise command staff and personnel of a kandak of the Afghan National Army in order to provide professional growth in command and planning procedures.

1st ACR MAT Unit

Commander of the 1st Military Advisory Team Major Premysl Tucek assumed the operational task on 20 March 2013.

Headquarters of the 1st MAT unit was at the Shank Base in the Logar Provice of Afghanistan.

The core of the unit was formed by soldiers of the 44th Light Motorised Battalion based at Jindrichuv Hradec. Soldiers from HQ of 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade based at Zatec, 41st Mechanised Battalion based at Zatec, 532nd Electronic Warfare Battalion based at Opava, 225th Combat Support Battalion based at Namest nad Oslavou, 131st Artillery Battalion based at Jince and medical personnel from the Central Military Hospital in Prague complement the unit.
