NATO air exercise.

Tactics, life fires, close air support.

Goal: Demonstrate readiness of the NATO air force in support of ground operations.

Place: 22nd Air Force Base at Namest, 21st Tactical Air Force Base at Caslav, Military Training Areas at Libava and Boletice, town of Pisek.

Size: more than 1100 soldiers.

Equipment: air assets from 16 NATO nations.

Time: September 4 - 21, 2012.

Participation: Czech Republic, Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Directors: Colonel (GS) MSc Harry H. Schnell, German Air Force, from the Headquarters Allied Air Command, Ramstein, Germany, and Brigadier General Jiri Verner, Deputy Commander of Joint Forces - Air Force Commander of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic.
