Floods aftermath: Engineers set up a first provisional bridge

Personnel of the 151st Engineer Battalion at Bechyně set up a provisional bridge over a gap at a road connecting villages of Naloučany and Ocmanice close to Náměšť nad Oslavou.

On Thursday, 6 April 2006, soldiers of the 151st Engineer Battalion at Bechyně took a provisional bridge and set it up over the gap at Naloučany.

The gap was made intentionally a few days ago to let the high waters of the Oslava River go without destructing standing concrete-steel bridge and without flooding of about 20 homes.

Engineers, headed by Captain Zdeněk Hrala, closely cooperated with experts of the Geographic Service of the ACR and the University of Defence, of which Colonel Věroslav Kaplan made a project for this provisional bridging.
