CMX 2006 - NATO Crisis Management Exercise
This exercise of all 26 NATO member countries was held during the period 1 - 7 March 2006.
The Czech Republic took part in CMX 2006 to reconfirm its standing and introduce newly adopted crisis management procedures, in close coordination with NATO Headquarters bodies and Strategic Commands.
The exercise, held annually, was focused on planning and strategic decision-making processes responding to a notional, developing crisis situation on the fictitious "Raleigh Island."
Military staffs planned operations on the notional Island, and adopted measures to ensure the internal security of the participating country.
No real-world troops were deployed for the purpose of this exercise.
