2nd TASK FORCE of Special Forces in ISAF

The 2nd TASK FORCE of Special Forces took over its operational task from its predecessors on 12 December 2011.

It is the seventh deployment of soldiers from the 601st Special Forces Group, based in Prostejov, in Afghanistan. They follow in meeting tasks by the 1st TASK FORCE under the direct command of ISAF.

Afghanistan - ISAF (International Security Assistance Force)

The government of the Czech Republic approved at its session on 6 October 2010 the deployment of the TASK FORCE of Special Forces within ISAF in Afghanistan. Also both chambers of the Czech Parliament aprroved the deployment of the TASK FORCE of Special Forces within ISAF in Afghanistan in size of 100 soldiers for one year with two rotations each lasting six months.

The 1st rotation was sent to Afghanistan in June 2011.
