Distinction for Active Reserve members
The Commemorative Badge of Staff Captain Vaclav Moravek
The distinction is awarded by the Chief of the General Staff of ACR to soldiers in Active Reserve, to civil employees of the military, and to employees of the state and public administration bodies in recognition of their outstanding achievements in performance of tasks related to the voluntary combat reserves.
The Badge is of a single grade and cannot be repeatedly awarded to the same person. There is no specific occasion set for the presentation ceremony. More than 450 of these distinctions were presented so far.
Staff Captain Vaclav Moravek, 1904-1942, was a member of the "Three Kings" group, a significant intelligence group of anti-nazi home resistance movement during World War II in Czechoslovakia, and he died after an exchange of fire with Gestapo in Prague.
