1st TASK FORCE of Special Forces in ISAF

1st TASK FORCE of Special Forces has contributed to special operations under the ISAF command in Afghanistan since June 2011.

It is the sixth deployment of soldiers from the 601st Special Forces Group, based in Prostejov, in Afghanistan. For the first time, this unit is under the direct command of ISAF.

Afghanistan - ISAF (International Security Assistance Force)

The government of the Czech Republic approved at its session on 6 October 2010 the deployment of the TASK FORCE of Special Forces within ISAF in Afghanistan. Also both chambers of the Czech Parliament aprroved the deployment of the TASK FORCE of Special Forces within ISAF in Afghanistan in size of 100 soldiers for one year with two rotations each lasting six months.

The 1st rotation was sent to Afghanistan in June 2011.
