Section of Press and Information Service
The Section is an integrated contact point for the public and the media. It offers topical news releases and official statements from the defence department. It convenes press conferences, seminars, briefings, provides for accreditation of media representatives, and administers a public information database of the Ministry of Defence.
At the same time, it is a contact point for providing information based on the Czech Law No. 106/1999 Dig., regarding the free access to information. In addition, it serves as an advisory and information point for soldiers in active service and their next-of-kin. The Section can be used as a transfer point for any mail addressed to high representatives of the defence department.
