European Union "EUFOR" Operation in Chad, Central Africa

EUFOR Chad/CAR - Following the UN Security Council Resolution No. 1778 as of 25 September 2007, the European Union established the EUFOR Chad/Central African Republic mission to help resolve a local conflict.

More than 2,200 soldiers from 22 countries participated in the mission, which was commanded by Irish Lieutenant General Patrick Nash.

Two officers of the Czech military participated in command structures of the mission.
