Comenius, the Pan-European Society for Culture, Education and Scientific & Technical Cooperation who ranked the Czech University of Defence into the list of the "Czech 100 Best", presented the award at a ceremony at Prague Castle, the seat of the President of the Czech Republic.

“It is clear appreciation of our work for 2014, and confirmation that the ongoing changes in management, along with a focus on new specialist studies at our university are heading in the right direction,“ said the Rector/Commandant of the University of Defence, Brigadier General Bohuslav Prikryl, at the ceremony held on 28th November.

The ceremony, held in the Spanish Hall at Prague Castle, was attended by 700 guests, including the chairmen of both Parliament’s chambers, ministers, their deputies, senators, and foreign ambassadors.
