A squadron of pilots of the Thai Royal Air Force completed a five-day intensive training exercise last week using the advanced SAAB 39 Gripen flight simulator at the Tactical Simulation Centre of the LOM State Enterprise in Pardubice.

The Deputy Minister of Defence for Industrial Cooperation and Organisations Management, Tomas Kuchta, visited the Thai pilots. He praised both the accomplishments of LOM in the field of tactical training and the pilots’ skills and abilities.

"I thank the Thai pilots for their active engagement in this training exercise, and I hope that the conditions provided by LOM Prague will prove to be valuable, positive grounding for further cooperation," said Kuchta.

In his address, the Commander of the Thai pilots thanked Deputy Minister Kuchta for his personal interest in the exercise, and praised the personnel of the Tactical Simulation Centre for their professional and active support. Speaking in Czech, the Thai Commander recalled the earlier days of the Thai-Czech trainig cooperation which began in 1991, and went on to express his hope for a continued strong partnership between the two countries.
