The inauguration ceremony of new Czech president Milos Zeman was topped by the parade of units of Armed Forces of the Czech Republic at the Prague Castle on Friday, 8 March 2012.
Units of the Czech military welcome new president of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman at grounds of the Prague Castle, seat of the president, before his arrival to the inauguration ceremony.
Milos Zeman was sworn in at the historical Vladislav Hall of the Castle in the morning of 8 March 2012 before members of both chambers of the Czech parliament, government, Czech military, representatives of foreign embassies, and dozens of guests.
Twenty one salvo gun fires were shot during tones of the Czech national anthem.
At the end of the ceremony, the military parade and march of 240 combat units' soldiers was complemented by 48 historical flags borne by soldiers of the Castle Guard.
