General Picek gives a farewell party to Defence Attachés
The Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces of the Czech Republic General Vlastimil Picek invited Defence Attachés and Military and Air Attachés accredited to the Czech Republic to the Military Club in Prague on 8 June 2012 to say them goodbye before departure from his present post.
General Picek thanked for work, extraordinary cooperation and creating mutually favourable relations to the military representatives of Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and the United States, who accepted the invitation.
"I have always appreciated you professionalism and correctness. I do believe that not only work but also our common views to many things have connected us. During your stay in the Czech Republic you, as defence attachés, had a chance to experience not only military issues but also life of people of this country, their pleasures and concerns. I hope that your experience was mostly positive and you will leave this country with good memories."
General Picek took this opportunity and presented his successor to the position of the Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Petr Pavel with a strong belief that the mutual cooperation will go on in the same friendly and positive atmosphere.
At the end of the farewell party those military representatives who leave the Czech Republic this year received a Honourable Badge of the ACR - Grade III, the Golden Badge of the General Staff and the Commemorative Coin of Chief of the General Staff.
