Ceremonies and events to 95th anniversary of Czechoslovakia and 20 years of the Czech military
At the occasion of the anniversary of birth of former Czechoslovakia on 28 October 1918, and historical events related to this year, the Czech military personnel actively participated in ceremonies and events mostly attended by supreme commander of Armed Forces of the Czech Republic President Milos Zeman. The following events were held between 25 and 28 October 2013.
Exhibition of military equipment
Almost a hundred thousand visitors came to Prague - Hradcany, close to the seat of President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman, within last three days to see a wide set of military equipment both present and historical. The exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and shows a huge shift from the last to contemporary equipment together with progress in support of military personnel within the last two decades.
Personnel of units and garrisons remember the anniversary
A number of units, bases and garrisons of the Czech military remember the anniversary with ceremonies and parades.
Conference to 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic
A two day Conference titled "Twenty Years of ACR: Perspectives of Czech Armed Forces" held in Prague, not only evaluated the ongoing progress in the build-up of modern national military force within NATO, but also outlined future ambitions of the national defence and possible advanced cooperation with allied countries.
Defence Minister decorates selected military personnel and civilians
Minister of Defence Vlastimil Picek decorated more than fifty military active and retired personnel together with civilians who considerably contributed to development of the Czech defence department both in the past and these days at the National Memorial in Prague - Vitkov.

Attended by President Milos Zeman, Minister of Defence Vlastimil Picek, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Petr Pavel and government and municipal officials, the ceremony to the 95th anniversary is held in the morning of Monday 28 October 2013.
New soldiers take the military oath
Almost 350 new soldiers, both students of military schools and recruits, who just accomplised their basic training, took the military oath at the ceremony in Prague - Hradcany. President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman, Minister of Defence Vlastimil Picek, Chief of the General Staff of ACR and a number of military and state administration officials and the public attended the act on Monday 28 October 2013.
President appoints generals
President Milos Zeman appointed three active service Colonels to the first General rank - Brigadier General, and two veterans - heroes of 2 WW, he appointed Majpor General ranks at the Prague Castle, seat of the President, on Monday 28 October 2013.
