6th ACR Unit - ISAF HELI UNIT, Paktika Province, Afghanistan

Czech ISAF HELI UNIT in Paktika

The Czech 6th ACR Unit serves in the Paktika Province as the Task Force HIPPO and is part of the American Helicopter Task Force FALCON. Both formations fulfil transportation tasks and observation missions in favour of commander of the ISAF Regional Command East.

Deployment: May - August 2011

Size of the Unit: 99 personnel, including 21 flying personnel.

Major equipment: three upgraded Mil Mi-171S helicopters.

The commander of the unit assumed operational task at the beginning of May 2011 to serve with his personnel in Paktika till August 2011.

The Unit is located at the US Forward Operation Base Sharana in the Paktika Province.
