Colonel Jaroslav Schon

Born 11th September 1962 in Moravska Trebova (CZE), joined the Army 1981 and started studies at Defence University in Brno.

From 1986, when graduated from the University, till 2008 served in various command and staff positions in logistics units from platoon level to J4 of CZE Joint Force HQ. During that period served two tours in Balkans. In 2000 in Bosnia and Herzegovina as CIMIC Team Leader and in 2005 in Kosovo as ACOS G1G4 in MN Brigade Centre.

From 2008 to 2010 was appointed as Division Head J4/CZE Joint Force HQ. In the meantime (2009) studied Royal College of Defence Studies in London. For three years (2011 – 2013) served as Branch Head Logistics Planning and Operations at Logistics Division of CZE MoD/GS. This was followed by three years tour in NATO Command Structures where represented Strategic Allied Command Transformation in resource committees at NATO HQ. Ending his NCS tour in 2016, he was assigned to CZE Armed Forces Logistics Agency as Branch Head Logistics Planning and Operations. Since 1st October 2017 he serves as Deputy Director of Support Division MOD/GS.

Together with wife Dasha are bringing up two sons, Martin (16) and Michal (13).

Hobbies: cycling, jogging, white water canoeing and sport shooting.
