Army General Jaroslav PROCHAZKA
Chief of the General Staff of the Czechoslovak Army
In 1919, after return from the Czechoslovak Legions in Russia and France, he became a reserve officer of the Czechoslovak Army. During 1942 and 1945, he was in position of an education officer (= political adviser) at Czechoslovak units in the Soviet Union. After the end of WWII, he worked at the Ministry of National Defence. During his post of the Chief of the General Staff of the Czechoslovak Army, he strongly supported Soviet influence during reorganisation of the military. He retired in 1952.
