Brigadier General Bruno SKLENOVSKY
Chief of Staff of the Ministry of National Defence
In 1919, he became an officer of the Czechoslovak Legions in Russia. In the second part of the 1930's contributed to the building of border fortifications. After the Nazi Occupation he left to exile. In the Great Britain, he served as Chief of Staff of the Ministry of National Defence. He contributed to the build-up and training of the Czechoslovak units abroad, especially airborne units and an armour brigade. In 1946, he served as Chairman of the Military Office of President of the Czech Republic. In 1948, he retired.
