Brigadier General Jaroslav CIHAK
Chief of Staff of the Ministry of National Defence
In 1914, he became an officer of the Austria-Hungarian Army. Since 1016, he was a member of the Czechoslovak Legions in Russia. From 1936 commanded the Infantry School at Milovice. After the Nazi Occupation of the Czechoslovak Republic, he left to exile. In 1940, he commanded Czechoslovak units deployed at the German-French Front. In the Great Britain he hold the position of the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of National Defence. He contributed to the build-up of the Czechoslovak Army in foreign countries. He dies in London in 1944.
