Brigadier General Bedrich NEUMANN
Chief of Staff of the Czechoslovak Military Administration
In 1917, he became an officer of the Czechoslovak Legions in Russia. During the inter-war period, he commanded a regiment and a division in the Czechoslovak Army. After the Nazi Occupation, he left to exile, where he served as Chief of Staff of the Czechoslovak Military Administration to France (1940) and Chief of Staff of the Supreme Commander of the Czechoslovak Defence Power in the Great Britain (1944-1945). In this positions, he prepared documents for reestablishment of the Czechoslovak Army after the war. After February 1948, he retired and shortly after that he left to exile again.
