AMPLE STRIKE 2017   -    23rd August - 12th September 2017


International exercise of air forces, forward air controllers, and coordination with land units - AMPLE STRIKE 2017.

Command Post: 22nd Helicopter Base at Sedlec, Namest nad Oslavou.

Aim: Coordination training of forward air controllers with aircraft crews and commanders of land units. Surmounting enemy air defence and air-to-air refuelling.

Places: Czech Republic: Military Training Areas in Boletice and Libava, 22nd HB Sedlec (Namest), 21st Tactical Air Force Base in Caslav, Pardubice Airport Authority, 15th Engineer Regiment in Bechyne.

Time: flights during 28th August to 8th September 2017.

Personnel: Up to 1,300 soldiers including 200 Czech reservists from Regional Military Commands and Air Force units. About 300 foreign soldiers will participate.

Participation: 18 countries (Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finalnd, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and the United States of America).

Equipment: Czech aircraft: L-159 ALCA, SAAB-39 Gripen, Mil Mi-24/35 a Mi-171S, Lithuanian L-39, German PC-9, LearJet and Tornado, Polish Su-22, Hungarian SAAB-39 Gripen, Slovenian PC-9, American AH-64 helicopters, two KC-135R tankers, B-1 and B-52 strategic bombers.
